I’m Guillermo Iznaola, a Game Designer based in Madrid, currently working as Level Designer at Lingokids. Through my personal label, IznaGames, I create both board and video games — several already published and sold, with more on the way.I was formerly a historian at the Department of Ancient and Medieval History at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and later worked in digital marketing. Today, I combine both perspectives to design meaningful games and better understand the players behind them.

You are a contender in the struggle for supreme power in the 15th century: the papacy. Do you have the cunning to maneuver through the intrigues of your opponents and claim the Throne of Saint Peter?

Choose carefully which cardinals to play—each has unique abilities that will help you shape the conclave to your advantage and secure the support you need to be elected pope. But beware! If your rivals uncover your intentions, they may accuse you of simony and put an end to your chances of victory.

You can learn to play Conclave in 5 minutes, but it will take countless games to master its strategies and become a true expert. Whether you enjoy casual, easy-to-pick-up games or prefer to challenge your mind in every match, Conclave is for you.

Conclave games last between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on the number of players and the strategies you use. Setup is super quick and it takes so little space that you can play it almost anywhere (we love playing it after meals or in cafés!).

How to play!

Lead a clan (kan) in the Mongolian steppe. Prosper, outmatch your rivals, and rise as the great unifier of Mongolia: the Great Khan.

Strategically plan your migrations and trade with other players to obtain the best livestock. With your animals, you can craft yurts, provisions, and weapons that will give you the edge over your rivals.

Great Khan is designed both for families and newcomers to board games, as well as for seasoned players. The rules are easy to learn, but you’ll need to consider multiple factors (rival migrations, types of livestock, raids…) to make the most of your resources.

A typical game of Great Khan lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the number of players (2 to 4), how familiar you are with the mechanics, and the strategies you choose.

How to play!

Gods, heroes, and monsters from every mythology clash in epic battles. Master advanced strategies, combine unique abilities, and uncover powerful synergies in fast-paced duels.

Each fighter has a unique ability inspired by their myth that changes the rules of the game. No two battles are ever the same, so you’ll need to keep adapting, discovering, and mastering endless combinations and synergies.

Valhallarena is quick to learn, but mastering it is another story. You’ll soon realize that every duel is different—full of tough decisions and hidden opportunities. If you’re the kind of player who enjoys uncovering layer after layer of depth in a game, you’re in the right place.

Valhallarena is currently in development, with a planned release in the first half of 2026. Many of you have already tried it at events. If you want to be among the first to play and learn more about its development, follow @iznagames on Instagram and stay up to date with the latest news!

The Curse of Kurtis

What is The Curse of Kurtis?

A roguelike where your enemies grow stronger because you let them.

The Curse of Kurtis is a top-down twin-stick roguelike where every run is shaped by your choices — and your curses. Between waves, time freezes, and you must pick curses that make your enemies stronger in exchange for Viability, a resource you can spend on blessings that empower your character. The more dangerous your foes become, the stronger you can grow. Shaping your challenge is part of your build.

Fight. Choose. Evolve.

Each run unfolds through alternating phases of combat and decision-making.During the combat wave, you must survive for thirty seconds while dodging enemy attacks, collecting golden eggs, and gathering blood feathers dropped by defeated foes.

When the timer ends, time freezes — and the Curse Panel appears. Here, you trade the resources earned in battle to shape your next challenge. You can spend Viability on blessings that enhance your abilities, or claim new curses that make your enemies tougher, faster, or stranger. To keep progressing, you must maintain a positive Viability balance, which means every upgrade comes at a cost. The stronger you become, the more dangerous the next wave will be.

How does the Curse System work?

To advance to the next round, you need to select a minimum number of Curses. Each Curse applies a different effect that alters enemy behavior or increases their power. Picking a Curse adds a specific amount of points to your Viability counter.

Blessings are optional. Acquiring them reduces your Viability, but grants abilities or stat boosts that strengthen Kurtis. You can buy as many as your Golden Eggs allow and as long as your Viability stays at zero or above.

The Viability Counter represents the balance between power and challenge. To start the next wave, your Viability must remain at zero or higher. Each Curse you pick increases Viability, while each Blessing decreases it — forcing you to carefully balance both sides.
If the counter drops below zero, the run can’t continue until you adjust your choices.

Your enemies are (also) your build

The Curse of Kurtis currently features six enemy types that spawn randomly throughout each arena. Some negative perks can add new enemies to the spawn pool or increase the weight of existing ones, making them more likely to appear in future waves.Raising an enemy’s weight may seem harmless at first — until that same “easy” foe starts showing up in greater numbers, powered up by the curses and modifiers you’ve chosen. Every decision you make doesn’t just affect your build — it reshapes the entire ecosystem of enemies you’ll have to survive against.

Online leaderboards

Beyond the main Curse Mode, The Curse of Kurtis features an additional game mode called Capybangra — an endless brawl against an infinite horde of capybaras. In this mode, both you and your enemies have only one life, and there are no waves or intermissions.
Survive for as long as you can and submit your score to the online database to compete against players worldwide.

State of development

The Curse of Kurtis is currently in active development. Core combat systems, enemy behavior, and the full Curse & Blessing framework are already implemented in Unity 2022, along with an online leaderboard for the Capybangra mode. The next stages of production focus on content expansion — adding new enemies, perks, and visual polish — as well as refining overall balance and progression pacing. The project is being developed iteratively with full gameplay functionality already in place, and regular updates planned as new features are tested and integrated.

Dorothy's Job

What is Dorothy's Job?

Play as Dorothy, the eccentric maid of a dark lord’s mansion.
Your task: keep the mansion spotless while battling waves of grotesque creatures.

Dorothy’s Job is an isometric twin-stick shooter with procedurally generated rooms and a dual-core loop that merges combat and cleaning.Players must balance cleaning tasks with enemy encounters, using limited resources to maintain the mansion’s cleanliness level while surviving waves of monsters. The game focuses on tight control feel, short, replayable runs, and a progression system that rewards efficient multitasking and spatial awareness.

My Role in Dorothy's Job

I worked as Game Designer focused on combat and systems. I designed the initial combat proposal and the weapon archetypes, establishing the foundations for the game’s rhythm and player expression. In Dorothy’s Job, players fight against dirt — literally. Each enemy represents a type of grime (liquid or dust), and your arsenal is specially designed to deal with both: a mop, a spray bottle, a feather duster, and a vacuum cleaner.

Throughout development, I took part in the design and iteration of all four weapons, defining their mechanics, balance, and gameplay roles across multiple builds. My work focused on ensuring that combat felt readable, responsive, and rewarding, maintaining consistency and clarity within the combat design pillar.

The combat system also involved continuous iteration and balancing of enemies. Dorothy’s Job features three main foes — one for each type of grime — plus a hybrid that supports them in combat. Each enemy actively dirties the mansion, forcing players to clean as they fight within a limited time. Their behaviors and interactions were carefully tuned to reinforce the game’s core loop: keeping combat, cleaning, and chaos intertwined and frenetic.

Dorothy's Job today

Dorothy’s Job was released on October 24th, 2025, surpassing 500 wishlists before launch. Just a few weeks after release, it holds a Very Positive rating on Steam with over 40 reviews. The game is free to play and currently features among Steam’s top recommended titles in its category.
